Here’s a list of things to hoard this weekend! Let me know if you wanna know how to use each of these in dishes through the week - super easy WFH recipes coming up soon.
Not really sure what I want to do with my career. Anyone else wondering what they should do? Should I get an MBA? Should I exit to Tech? Should I stay in consulting and grind to partner? I’m only working for the money otherwise I’d be a chef or a DJ lol
I am currently looking for a job change. I am having 10 YoE from ETL background.
Please comment below if you can refer me or help me with a suitable job opening.
Being asked my preferred salary for an Vp position. I have 10 years experience. What's reasonable? Big global ipg company in NYC.
Does the final interview for a position in McKinsey digital entail case questions or more experience based like the previous rounds? Experienced hired if it matters.
Capgemini Invent or Accenture? Both Strategy Consulting roles. Accenture role is more niche than Cap Inv though. Which one has better work life balance? Accenture sounds like more travel?
I have an upcoming internship with deloitte global this summer and it’s based in Princeton? What should I expect? Anyone know what this side of the company does? Deloitte
Considering a manager level position at PwC in their Forensics and eDiscovery group. Any 🐠 have any insight into what their group/comp levels are like over there?
I had an interview at 1 of the big tech companies via referral (before job was even posted) and not sure how it went. Then I saw the job was posted the next day...am I out of the running?

How do exit opportunities to FAANG and tech look like fit McKinsey implementation consultants?
I grew up in a relatively poor family without exposure to much in the way of luxury goods. But I've always been fascinated by luxury watches. Now that I'm in a position to afford them, I want to start building a collection.
I've picked out a reputable local dealer that carries the brands I'm looking for. How do I approach discussing watches in the $5‐10k range with the dealer, without looking like a putz?
Does anyone have good exit options for CA with audit + FDD experience of 3years from big 4. Would really appreciate some legit suggestions
I am actively looking for a referral in telecom domain. Please let me know if there is any vacancy.
Thanks in advance! 😄
Hello fishes, Deloitte HR said that the max he could offer is Senior analyst position. Is it a good deal for 3.8 years experience at Deloitte USI ?
I am way more assertive over the phone, sound much more confident, and I think working remotely accelerated my career quite a bit. I'm 100x more presentable virtually than in person. Virgin in person, Chad in video calls. Pretty sure remote work played a huge role in my early promo. All of a sudden I'm gaining the reputation of being a "leader", which never happened when in person.
Now I'm low key hoping we'll continue to lean remote heavy once things open up. Anyone on the same boat?
Does anyone know what the exit opportunities from PwC’s SDC would be? I’m in the Advisory service line doing management consulting with a focus on companies in the technology, media, and telecom space
13 years at current firm, 23 years total experience. Too late to switch out of consulting? Worried there’s nothing out there other than exec positions that would pay the same and not sure I would want to be in a leadership position. Got about 10 years before retirement and am just so tired....
I hate, loathe Rachel and stopped watching Suits because of her two seasons ago. Is it worth going back to?
Year end meetings for most groups at KPMG tomorrow and things expected to be very tight promotion wise.
I keep getting rejected for roles at other companies because I don’t have the right experience. I can never find projects to gain those experiences within my firm to make the next move. Advice?
Just saw this post on one of my networking groups on Facebook. In 2018, this is still happening. I’m speechless.
I’m constantly seeing posts of Fishes looking for new jobs and unable to get interviews or secure offers... I thought we went into consulting for the great exit opportunities. Is that just a fallacy?
Bali recommendations on things to do?
Folks with an MBA only, please give your honest opinion. Is it worth pursuing an MBA when you’re already in consulting? Would you do it again if you had the chance? Thank you in advance :)
I am a salesforce dev at a consulting firm in boston making 110k per annum . Currently PERM is going on. Yesterday I got an offer from a product based company as a senior integration specialist.
For those struggling with lethargy/depression/anxiety from the coronavirus situation, are you talking to your team about how it's affecting your work?
Anyone gone about breaking up with a guy with whom you were in a very long relationship - and that most of your friends were common? How did you go about it and how did you deal with it?
Irony personified ...
Anybody have experience with Reference Point? A headhunter/recruiter reached out with decent salary ranges, but would like to know more about the company before I respond.
The site doesn’t give much details into WLB, specific duties and projects (does mention they focus on the financial industry), and benefits, but I did see one of their Consultants took a title cut (Sr. Consultant at IBM) to go there.
Will people hire me even though I’m not even a year into my first job? Is it a faux pas to be applying places within 12 months?
Hi all, my fiancé and I are due in September with our first. Would you recommend getting a night nurse? And, even if you’re up breast feeding every few hours anyway?
I’m not going home for holidays this year because of travel restrictions. I’ve been seeing someone for ~6 months. I’ve met their family (who are local), but haven’t spent much time with them. We haven’t discussed holiday plans, so not sure what to expect. Should I expect to be invited? Do I ask / hint? Do I need to get presents for everyone, or just for the SO?
The main reason I’m looking a new job is because my wife is pregnant and we need more money. Is it dumb to say that in an interview?
Hey guys! I’m looking to shift careers. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for 7 years now. Before that I’ve worked in an office, retail, banking, sales and was a correctional officer. I have a BA in criminal justice that I have yet to use. I really want an office job that pays well, but I’ve had no luck finding someone to hire me, actually even getting an interview most likely due to lack of experience. I’m open to options or if anyone knows a company that’s hiring that would be great!
Has anyone had to deal with long Covid issues in big law? If so, how did you or your firm deal with it (reduced hours)?
I am joining DXC on 2nd May.
I'll be working in 12PM-9PM shift.
Someone please let me know what shift allowances amount do they give, and
Also, suggest out of 5% bonus, how much do they give to an average employee.
And what is the cycle they consider for performance appraisal, and for bonus. Is it from April to March or Jan to Dec. ?
