New Account Director here. Had 2+ years of supervisor experience prior. Any tips as I transition to this new role? What key things make the positions different? Would love to hear from all disciplines
Tips for interviewing at Amazon? Recruiter contacted me for a position I didn't apply for and set up an interview without any context. They probably got my resume for other positions I applied for I presume. They provided me with a few links for how to interview at Amazon and gave me the linked in of who I would be doing my phone interview with. Any help tips would be appreciated. TIA
🐟 family, need some suggestions. Wife got offer from PWC (new team; technology focus; 0%-20% travel role) to join San Jose or Chicago office. We are currently in Seattle. What say you??
Can anyone share tips for asking for an out-of-cycle raise? I’m a high performer going up for manager this year, and I know the promotion pay bump will be small. Any suggestions?
I’m an Inclusion Teacher in an elementary school. My role is to support special education students in the general education classroom. I’m struggling how to provide the service due to social distancing protocols. In the past I could sit next to the students or bring them to a back table to work on skills. With the extra furniture in the room removed, this won’t be possible. I will also have students working remotely from home at the same time. Any suggestions or ideas?
Has anyone interviewed with Microsoft for a Program Manager II role lately? If so any tips or advice, I have mine coming up this week!
Hi, Post salary discussion I see few things: Basic and HRA are too low even lower then my current org. Is that same for you all? What is this Quarterly and monthly bonus. Are they paid every month? Do we get 100% or it's less?
I currently work at a firm that pays above market. 12 YOE, people transformation ( culture, not ERP/tech implementation) background. Current total comp is about $140-150k, plus $20k unvested equity. Is this a reasonable salary expectation for my next role: $165-$180 total comp annually, something like: $150k base, 25% bonus, + $30k equity, $25k cash sign on to replace what I’m walking away from in outstanding equity and expected bonus payout for 2021. How do you do the min amount of work while looking for new jobs? I mean, by nature, I am a mediocre worker but I hate it when ppl judge or look down on me (people pleaser). Therefore, I do a good enough job and it doesn’t raise eyebrows. This balance is really affecting my health 😂😢. First world problems are the WORST.
Having serious imposter syndrome / anxiety one month into new role and can’t seem to shake it. I feel totally unqualified and I know I’m talking down to myself which makes it worse. Any advice / tips?
Myself and the role I held got eliminated during covid lay-offs. What if my previous employer starts hiring for that role again? Can I reapply?

How is it possible Partners ignore performance data to promote and are seemingly never held accountable for when their promotion doesn’t pan out?
Career advice! Tech strategy at consultant level at Deloitte or tech strategy at a consultant at Accenture? The comp is pretty similar but I wouldn’t see a bonus or promotion cycle at Deloitte until 2022 and would see one at Accenture later this year

When are background checks done to verify current employment at B4? Also do they contact HR or your manager, worried if they would give a bad review, they don’t know I’m leaving (I’m in industry)
Life sucks sometimes. I had a miscarriage (in a hotel room of course...) in June and can’t seem to stop thinking that I was going to have a baby this month. Time to step back & appreciate what I have!
Quoted $100-120K, 10% bonus, no RSU for Sales Strategy & Ops at Salesforce (4.5 YOE). Super lowball right?

Would appreciate thoughts on when to pay of student loans. Have about 40k left @ 4.5% (refinanced twice). I should be able to pay them off in one lump sum in a few months with personal savings. I’m currently paying the minimum, while saving aggressively in HYSA account , contributing to 401k to employer match, and contributing to Roth IRA. Does it make sense to just knock them out or should I increase investments focus? I know there’s likely not a “right” answer but what would you do?
Fish fam how much does your firm charge (if any) for processing your I140 (green card application) in premium?

I’m a 2nd year analyst wanting to jump into Product Management. It seems most of the product management positions require a minimum of 3+ YOE in a “similar role.” Has anyone had experience leaving consulting for a product management role? Welcoming other tips and advice too.
