I’m traveling M-Fr, constantly tired so when I get back to the hotel, I just stay in and end up ordering in/getting room service.
Any snacks/dinner tips?

I find when you work out and eat better, you feel less tired. It’s worked for me.

I build in physical activity wherever I can. Push ups when I get up in the morning, always take the stairs, squats while I brush my teeth. And of course, I go running, plank between sprints, and lift weights. Building muscle has been critical for me; as I understand it, it speeds up your metabolism and leaves you burning calories well after the work out ends, unlike cardio.

As for the sugar, start weening yourself off. Over time I’m at the point where I only add 30% of sugar recommended in recipes, otherwise it’s too effing sweet. I learned to substitute such cravings for thinks like coconut and cocoa protein balls, and if they are sweetened, it’s with dates. I found that once I was sustainably avoiding chocolate and sugary things, I lost my taste for them anyway.

Do Whole30! Not hard if you get the right substitutes, seriously changed by attitude towards food and I don’t feel hungry *the whole time*

Add drinking and smoking to this and I see me. I started with small bike rides - which I really started to enjoy. That lead to me stopping smoking, and trying to get more walks in during the week as I wanted to go father with my bike. I also started using the hotel gym as I want to get stronger - same reason - wanted to enjoy going further during my bike rides. As I started enjoying outdoors more, started small runs. I was lucky that I have a trail close to my house for biking and running. It took two years but I shed about 45 pounds. The harder part is maintaining it. I gained back almost 20 lbs over next two years. Last year I got myself a Peloton. Have been regular since. It’s a lifestyle I want to maintain. Start with a sport or activity you enjoy! Good luck!

Just start with making small changes to diet and include some exercise . It’s a marathon and not a sprint but you need to start

Another friend is moving to my city so I’ll be living with them but I can’t help but feel a little lonely/like a huge stage of my life is over. Any tips for dealing with this change? I guess I also feel a little guilty because I’m pretty covid conservative so I’ve turned down social outings this past year because of that.

31 M 5 foot 8 200 lbs. muscular build. I want to get to 180 and know strength will take a hit. Has anyone experienced weight loss while maintaining muscle mass? Lifting 4-6 times a week for 45 mins. Cardio 1-2 times and that’s like a 15-20 min walk at most. Diet 75% vegan. How can I drop this weight? I’m fine to eat like a dog and have the same meals every day I just need someone to tell me what to eat and when.

Had a second baby almost a year ago now and just can’t get back into work mode. I used to be a workaholic and now can’t find any motivation in my current job. Most of it is probably sleep deprivation and feeling like I don’t have any time to myself anymore, plus burnout. Anyone go through this after having kids? How long did it last? I don’t have the option of simply quitting, but contemplating switching to a true 9-5, no-stress job, possibly out of law, while they’re young. But that’s scary.

Hi fishes!.. I am a Test engineer in a mindtree pvt. ltd. Mindtree gives me the project of cisco which is based on the Networking(switch testing). I didn't have much experience in networking or I don't like the Networking testing. I have one year of experience in automation testing with Selenium java WebDriver, TestNG, cucumber bdd framework. I am comfortable in these things not in networking. I talked to my HR and Manger for changing the project but the didn't change.

I need some help. I love my partner but her insomnia is just painful.
She won't meditate. She won't do something relaxing. She won't get out of bed and reset when she can't sleep. She just lays there and then she gets frustrated and around 2am she's just a ball of tears because she can't sleep. I of course, wake up and comfort her and help her get to sleep but this can't keep going on.
Any suggestions for insomnia, this has gone in for 5 years?
