Hi All,
After ED round of interview I got a mail from HR asking to submit few documents. In the mail HR has mentioned that I'm one of the shortlisted candidate and final selection is yet to be made. So how are my chances of getting an offer.

Dude I am with you. It’s 1.30 am and I am wide awake. Have to leave in 4 hours
Normally, I try make sure I'm packed and clothes I'm wearing Monday to travel are ironed and anythjng work related is handled by Saturday. This makes Sunday a completely free day. Devices are already charged and packed and everything is ready to go. There is no last minute packing or worrying about anything besides going to sleep at a good time.
Tried all the above over the last 5+ years and I still can't get to bed early the night before an early morning flight. My fear is deeply rooted in sleeping through multiple alarms and missing my flight. It's likely a result of the time I slept through multiple alarms and missed a final in undergrad where I nearly failed the class.
Well, I did the same thing at uni. At least it’s good to know where it comes from and other people feel the same hahaha
Have you tried watching ASMR? It puts me to sleep instantly!
Don’t party the nights before until 3am and then sleep to 11am. Try to stay in a solid sleep rythm. Avoid alcohol, excercise and avoid electronics from 8 pm onwards on sundays as well as dim lights.
Yep I’m 24, Sunday’s I’m up by 9 am, gym, laundry and video games until 6pm then I watch a movie and double check I’m ready for Monday. Bed by 9:30 up at 4:30!
On a similar note, I am considering flying Sunday nights/evenings to avoid ruining my sleep the night before the flight
That’d probably work. But it’d effectively cut in a third the number of nights I spend in my actual bed/at home, so I’m trying to avoid that while I can. But I might start considering it soon
I’m just reading some heavy book. Still interesting enough to make me read it not just for the sake of falling asleep. Usually I’m out after 2-3 pages.
If I’m not out then I at least read through 2-3 chapters of the interesting book and then I’m out :)
Don’t sleep too late Sunday morning, and move your schedule forward, eat dinner earlier and go to bed earlier so you could in theory get 6+ hours. Get off your devices earlier too.
It’s not perfect and I just got 5 hours of proper sleep last night but much better than flying Sunday
Just had the same night. Got to bed at 2 and up at 6 😑 gonna be dead today. Honestly, if I don’t have to do work on Sundays I’m usually fine. Agree with the others about preparing everything early in the day Sunday so you know it is done. Then try to really disconnect. Every time I do work on a Sunday I end up staying up late and stressing
Melatonin or the Sleep With Me podcast - always works for me
Meditate
The only way I can get to sleep on a Sunday at 8/9pm is by using some type of drug. Nothing else will give me a full night of sleep. It’s not healthy but neither is getting 4 hours of sleep once a week. (Bonus: woke up 20 minutes before my 4am alarm today!)
Glad I'm not alone. Can never sleep on fly day to the client regardless of how early I wake up the day before.
Only new info I can add is to take Benadryl the night prior. I typically take 1/2 the dose so I am not groggy when I wake up.
Turn your phone off
Not joking - mediation.
Personally it is in the form of a prayer for me. I find it very relaxing and helpful when I need to quiet my mind. We live in such a crazy hectic nonstop world that our minds are constantly moving. That’s not even mentioning our own field of consulting where it’s almost impossible for us to turn the brain off sometimes. However, take a moment to offer a prayer of gratitude (if you don’t believe in God (or Gods for that matter) that’s fine, the prayer doesn’t have to actually be to anyone). Simply express what you are grateful for (if you need help knowing, simply type in poverty in Africa or Asia into Google or YouTube, that should help).
I highly recommend it if you are still struggling to get to sleep after you try a few other tricks
