My admin is forcing us to only pull out of the science/social studies block. There is only 30 minutes per grade! I have a huge number of 1st and 2nd graders with high hours. They are getting crammed into huge groups while I have plenty of time to see them during the rest of the day. Does anyone else have a similar situation?

Any tips for note taking? My biggest struggle is retaining information communicated verbally. To compound the issue, I’m a millennial and was never taught note taking, short hand, or cursive (outside a week long lesson to write our names) in school. It takes me forever to write out notes and while I’m writing I miss everything that’s being said. I have no problem putting in the work to learn techniques but can’t find helpful resources.
