Does anyone know what’s happening? 😰
Hi Sharks,
I had first round of CITI interview this week and today I got a mail asking for documents submission. Does that mean this had only one round and I have cleared that? Generally documents are asked only when we clear all the rounds. Who has given CITI interview please let me know. Thanks..Citi

It’s all relative. For someone coming from modest income family, maybe a big4 is a big stepping stone for them. Not everyone can afford to go to Harvard, Yale and land a MBB or FAANG job.
I was so happy when I got my first job that pays $50k/yr at a no-name 5 people company. Because before that, I work for minimum wage to get through school and so is the people surrounding me. I thought I got to middle class with that income and was definitely landing a dream job.
Oh hi that’s me. Took some time away from school and I really didn’t see myself in as a high paying job as I am now. My growth has been exponential because of the b4 I joined.

Agree the posts are cringe but, Big4 is a great place to start your career.

I don’t disagree with it being a good place to start I just cringe at the dream part thing 🥴🥴🥴. Like no worries son, give it a few months and that’ll change
It’s cringe, but landing your first job out of college is a major milestone. And many schools/firms heavily sell b4 as your best option coming out of an accounting program. They’re not jaded yet, let them celebrate.

I get where you’re coming from, but just because you’re cynical/jaded now doesn’t mean you should be judging others for being excited for (probably) their 1st salaried job at a well known company. I’m jaded af too now after 5 yrs but remember the feeling cause I was so poor and am the 1st in my family to graduate from college
I would not use dream job and big 4 in the same sentence.
As far as first jobs go, it's not bad. I imagine they mean "my top choice of the options available to me during recruitment" when they say dream job.

I think the bigger point I am trying to make is colleges make Big4 seem like it’s an amazing place and doesn’t come with the amount of stress that it does. It’s easy to say work this much at a young age but from what over seen, plenty of people had that mind set and now mentally they’re all over the place. That’s my point. No hate on Big4

My dream job used to be KPMG because it was the first time I’d heard of consulting my senior year of college and I had no idea what it was. The people I met initially were great. However after 3 years of working that sparkle faded and I hated every bit of it and the people I worked with changed and made me not like it. It happens.
Dreaming of work is an oxymoron

Dream job at the big 4? Are we that highly regarded?
Funny how the circle of complaining works…

😂
It's pretty human for a new grad to find real life to be a rude awakening. Growing pains. Let them complain. It affords you the opportunity to smack them down and amuse yourself when doing so.
