Hi I have the same question. I actually don’t know when it will be done or get better. I am so tired of applying for new jobs to upgrade my career and salary. Of course I’m so tired of rejection as well. One thing I feel like is that the world is moving and changing so quickly and we really need to upgrade our values and skills consistently. I know this is so frustrating and hard but this is the best way for the better future. I want to know which specific field you are working in. I’m a sr. graphic designer in branding, packaging, and a little bit of ux design. I’m self studying ux design to be a product designer or ux designer right now. I feel like expanding your skills is good way to get more job opportunities. Companies don’t want to spend a lot of budgets to hire many people. I gave up on it. I always tell company that I can do this and that almost everything lol. They expect me more of course but that actually how I survived..?

I am old enough to remember the recessions in the past... and I am not yet convinced this is a recession. Those had a very different feel to them.
We had GDP growth last quarter, unemployment is still low, and most companies are still profitable (even if they aren't hitting targets). Yes, some companies have started layoffs and investing less in new tech and resources, but I get the impression that is in preparation for a possible recession rather than a reaction to an actual business downturn. The Pandemic has really thrown everything out of wack and I don't think a lot of the old indicators and business models apply anymore. I still see jobs being listed. I still see startups getting funding. All things that suggest this isn't like the recessions of the past where entire industries were collapsing.
