If I want to pivot into corporate finance but have two offers for accounting positions with good companies - do I take and transition from within at a later time?

Diet-serious-question: if I eat around 2am-ish, will all the calories be counted into the new day calories tracking schedule? My diet plan allows me to have xxx calories per day, but I’m sooo hungryyyy at night. Am I cheating if I consider the day is finished at 12am, the calories intake plan is reset, and just have a happy breakfast a bit early?

I assume answer is highly unlikely, but I’m going to ask anyway: do schools track applicants and identify ones that might be good/top prospects throughout the application process? I know if you’re in touch with admissions they may remember you when reviewing your app, but do schools note who they’ve met with identify targets that way?

I know it’s a question for HR too but anyone have experience with this? May need to take some short term disability shortly ahead of my mat leave. But it’s not pregnancy related. Does it take time away from your mat leave STD?

Hello! Q on how to follow up w/ recruiter about a role. DM’d them about Founding Product Designer role, they “love my background” but looking for someone with actually 10 YOE (JD says 4+). It’s been a little over a mo. with role seemingly still open on their site.

I’ve since updated resume w/ + experience (isn’t close to 4 years tho) and exp is aligned. Looking at the rest of the JD and type of company, I know I can fill the role.

Received an offer from a top FAANG for a 250% increase in TC. However, I was initially interviewing for a position that was remote and yet the final offer does not provide that option, non-negotiable. I have a wife and 2-year-old child and another one due in 7 months, and currently live near both sets of grandparents.

Is working at a top FAANG really worth that kind of cost? I'm leaning heavily 'no' but it's not making it easy to sleep at night knowing I'm sitting on this kind of offer!
