Okay Deloitte whatever you say 😆

Not a hot take. Industry recognized this and it’s why you see 25 year olds hired as managers at F500s if they come from prof services and consulting

like

Meanwhile I’m 30 and the headhunters are like “good luck getting a role with direct reports with 6 YOE” 😑

Jim Gaffigan did like 12 mins on this a decade ago. I think it holds up

Hot take: You will have 40 additional hours of aligning shapes.

Hot take: it seems that you don’t understand how YOE is commonly measured

If I could do 80hrs of work in 40, I’m better than you

They ofc mean by work assigned — eg consultants at firms where they’re expected to work 80hrs should get the bump whether they end up needing to work the whole time or not

Hi Fishes,
I worked for 16 months in infosys and then joined tcs my tech stack is .net and I feel like I have made a mistake by switching so early and now I can't rejoin infosys ever and even if I want to leave tcs after 2-3 yrs I can't rejoin tcs also. I think my life is doomed as I'm an average technical skill person.😑

I’m trying to find the right fit as a Customer Success Manager and so far I’ve had a hard time. Either the CS dept is understaffed, overworked, & under appreciated or the role is misunderstood entirely. Is anyone hiring CSM’s that perform more like account managers and less like glorified support reps? Extra points for good benefits & positive work culture.

Most of my Algebra 2 students are still doing works remotely from home. My Algebra team is relying on DeltaMath for assignments and tests, and kids are completing them within minutes of posting (spend like 30+ seconds per problem on average). I decided to ask for works from kids as part of the assignment grades, and to my surprise (not really), kids are using apps and just copying to the teeth. My admins will likely make me stop giving 0 to these assignments. Is this a battle worth fighting for?

I just got offered an in-house opportunity and am currently at a firm. My firm is more “laid back” in the sense I only bill about 90% of my goal and it’s no big deal. But I know I’ll need to crank it up if I want to be a member and not sure I want to be a member because I seriously value work life balance.

I’m nervous to take the in house gig bc I’m used to the excitement of litigation and dread corporate paper pushing. Can anybody share their experiences and advice re going in house? I’m torn
