The tomato is needed to be pressed against the protein, and and to separate the lettuce The lettuce is to separate the tomato from the bread. On the other side of the protein, are the cheese, pickles, and additional accouterments. Without tomato, it presses the greens directly against the protein. And if the protein is hot, it will cause the greens wilt and slime. You need the tomato to keep the greens separate from the greens

Do they ruin burgers too? 😏

Agree. I don’t like tomatoes at all

Yeah 95% of time. Big cut slices overpower. Love ketchup, hate tomatoes

Are you seasoning and drying your tomatoes???

Ripe, thinly sliced Roma tomatoes can elevate it.

What type of tomatoes are we talking? Sliced tomatoes? Cherry tomatoes? Sundried tomatoes?

A1, you joke but it’s true. Grocery store tomatoes are chemically ripened and are generally hot garbage. You have not tasted a tomato until you’ve tasted home/locally grown.

Mr. Potato Head disagrees with you firing shots at his cousin, Sir Tomato.

Makes bread soggy. Can find them tolerable if thinly sliced with salt and pepper.

But has anyone here had a tomato Mayo sandwich? My dad eats them religiously

If I had my speaking to animals power from the other post, I'd tell my lions to maul you. 😠🦁🦁

Pickles do.

They also ruin pizza when they're not sauce.

Do any real people actually want schools to reopen as it stands now? Im hearing so much about it but it feels like a weird disconnected political thing and not a live humans with kids thing. *Obv the goal is to get covid under control so kids can go back safely, this is assuming infection rates stay steady or continue to climb

“A child really isn’ that expensive in the first 3-4 years” ~ Spouse 7 months ago. Our bank account after 7 months of pregnancy says otherwise. I’m excited to be a father and I want to be a good father, but there is zero chance this child is going to remember or even care what decorations we chose for the nursery. Advice on picking battles over expenditures for a future child?

Yesterday was a good day. I was really impressed with myself. I woke up at 5, practiced dance lessons, did two water colors, made breakfast and tea, got to work by 10, put in 8-10 hours of solid work and then came home. It’s been ages since I painted or danced. However today, I slept till 7:00, did not work out or have food. Still got to work by 10 and did 8 solid hours of work. Some days are good and some are just okay. And that is okay. Trying to build on my good days and we all can. :)

I’m looking for a new role in NYC. I have a feeling more layoffs are imminent at my current agency. Ideally, the role would be client facing, incorporate content creation, pay at least $90K and be located within an office known for its company culture. Reply if you have any leads. Thanks!

Anyone work with Rich Russo at Arnold before? Had an interview with him and it was weird. As a Hispanic woman, he said I couldn’t be that good if he never heard of me before. When I asked how important diverse hires are, I got an answer from him that was pretty shocking.... something along the lines of how hiring diverse candidates lowers the bar for creative work because they don’t have the same education other [white] creatives have. Maybe I’m reading into him wrong but it was cringe-worthy.

I've been asked to share my insights and long term plan for my role in our business. I am actively looking to exit and have been for the last six months. 😬 How would you approach the conversation? Do I have any option other than straight up lying? In previous roles I'd have been comfortable being honest about wanting to move on but I feel like my manager will take it personally that I want to leave and be a bit of a drama queen about it...
