How are behavioral interviews at BCG / Bain? Is it your standard "tell me about a time when X" or are there more oddball questions?

A question I asked myself several times, even today, 7 months after my master's degree in computer engineering. ‘What is the difference between my degree and computer science from a professional point of view?’. After graduating I worked for an automotive engineering company for 3 months, a job I quit as there was no coding at all and I love coding. Now I've been unemployed for 3 months and my friends keep telling me that the jobs I'm applying to are more for "computer science" students.

What are the Salary range for a Senior Manager Technical Position in Deloitte, PWC , Accenture ?

If you had an offer that you need to decide on soon, would you mention this factor during an interview with another PE shop? For context: the offer won’t explode by the time i finish the process with the 2nd PE shop. I’m advised that it’s good to mention it because it shows I’ve been already vetted on my skills. However, I’m worried it might portray me as boisterous/cocky and won’t bring me any leverage. TIA

Company XYZ had me do 4 interviews with 6 different people in July & August. After the last interview, the recruiter tells me the job is now on hold until Jan. I told him I was fine with that. He said I only had 1 more interview with the CEO. Sunday, I get an announcement LinkedIn that XYZ hired Joe Q to this job. I reached out to the recruiter. He said that was another role & there is still one for Jan. He is trying to hire a friend of mine ir another job. More in comments.

As someone involved in first round interviews, here's some quick tips fellow fish 🐟 when being interviewed remotely:

- technical blips happen so have some initiatives ready at hand to offer to the panel prior to starting. i.e. Use the comments section, have a phone number ready to continue verbally or use a different video service (I recommend Google Meet)
- A less distracting background means we're focused solely on you and not the cat scratching the chair to pieces

I am waiting for my dream company to be out of a hiring freeze for a dream role. It should happen in the new few months, but that’s not guaranteed. I also am interviewing for another role that would be good for me, but I’m not as excited as the dream role.

I’m nervous I’m going to get this other role, then the dream one will open up again, then I’ll burn bridges by leaving. How awful would it be if it happens that way - I go join Company A for the good role for a few months then move again?

I joined Accenture on 8th December. Got laptop on 15th December. I am facing issues with the credentials and that's why unable to set up the laptop. Also the laptop i received isn't formatted. Someone's account is already there. Tried calling on Accenture support numbers but not a single number is valid. Tried calling relationship manager but she isn't answering the call. Dropped several mails but got no reply.
Is this normal in Accenture. Also will i get December salary? Can anyone help me here

Just signed a specialist offer at Mck for November start at 165, but seeing that in 2022 the associate salaries jump to 175. Anyone know if this will be adjusted for me or am I screwed?

I have my first round interview at McKinsey for a BA position in approx a month! Do you have some tips on how I should structure my preparation as well as where I can find the best ressources?
I havent done any cases in 3 years + so I definitely need some work on that part, but I also dont want to neglect the PEI part where I think that my performance will be better than for the case. Lastly, I have to do the Imbellus test, is there any way I can prep for that too?
