How are big 4 Chicago-ITS practices doing? I know at PwC the group is struggling to get work.

What is the reputation of the Big 4 in terms of IB related fields in the US, especially NYC?
I have heard that one of them does not have a good reputation and some people in this Bowl and other IB forums have posted that they would never hire anyone from that company.
Can you confirm this or is this an exaggeration and in reality there is little difference in reputation among the Big 4?
I want to get into IBD at a BB and want to start my journey off right.

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some advice with regards to my next career step. Currently in audit and I have opportunities to go for a Valuations role or an FDD role (both big 4). What are the pros and cons of each? (hours and learning opps, not concerned about salary) Not looking to work long term in both and would likely want to transition into an FP&A role in the future. Hoping to jump directly but require modelling experience.

How is the WLB at Ey India ? Or wlb with big 4 is something oxymoron?

I’m a current biglaw associate thinking of lateraling to Quinn Emanuel. Looking for a more dynamic and trial-focused litigation practice, but I’m a little put off by how poorly Quinn seems to invest in support (tech, paralegals, etc) and generally seems to nickel and dime its associates. Curious how these issues feel for Quinn associates on a day to day basis.

International vs. PCS internal and Exit Opportunities. — I’m a S2 in ATL working in PCS and in international/crossborder for private clients. I need some guidance determining whether I would be better off staying in PCS or declaring a specialty in int’l/crossborder work. I don’t see myself in B4 forever, and it seems the int’l work would limit exit opps in the future. However, PCS exit opps aren’t appealing to me either: family office or wealth management. — any help or insight is appreciated.

Hello all, I have offers from both EXL and Clairvoyant (acquired recently by EXL). I was wondering if there would be any issue if I choose one over the other? Leaning towards Clairvoyant a bit because of the discussion with HR. Also EXL HR is saying that they will issue laptop after joining. Is this normal?

I switched from Big 4 to a mid-sized firm a few months ago. The sole reason was for for a good pay raise. However, I'm not loving the new job as much, because of lack of resources, outdated technology, and work opportunities are not what I thought. Is it crazy to go back to my old firm? I really liked my coworkers there, and could perhaps ask for a better raise since I left. I maintained good relationships with my old team. Is it bad to leave after only a few months?
