I got word last week that I received the green light from HC. I'm starting comp discussions next week for SWE Manager L6. It's a remote position and geographically located in a city comparable to Chicago or Austin (probably in between). There are no data points on levels for my Geo. Currently going through the hiring process for a role in San Francisco. They told me the starting base was $110K, but this sounds like pennies in a city like San Francisco! I am concerned that if I make it through I’ll basically be poor in such an expensive city, not to mention the taxes. I also have a baby so child care I am sure is expensive.
