How are in house interviews different from firm interviews? What questions should I ask?

Similar questions will be asked re your experience, expertise since they'll expect you to hit the ground running. But fit and buying into the vision are much more important

like

Similar to firm interviews but I also got asked a bunch of hypothetical questions about how I would react to certain situations. Seems like they focus more on personality types and making sure you fit with the company and have similar values.

Headhunters using the typical phrase “if you see a job out there, before applying, send it to me. I might know people internally and might be able to help.” Obviously, this is so that they can catch that money. My question: if they DO know ppl internally, then there’s a chance of a win-win. Is it often the case? Does it affect compensation because now they have to pay intermediaries/headhunters?

Is it ok to continue going for interviews even after accepting a job offer?

I accepted an offer for a role I wasn't really into but it was the best option I had after going through several interviews since I was laid off due to the pandemic.

Then, other more enticing job openings came along.

Would it look bad if I were to go for an interview & be like "I've been working at my current job for XX weeks but I'm interviewing for this role because it's much closer to what I really wanna do"?

I went on an interview yesterday. To say it was disappointing would be an understatement. The partner that interviewed me was nice, but he did not understand transactional law. At my last firm, I was a hybrid between transactional tasks and litigation. When billable hours came up, he scoffed at my previous requirement and stated that his were at minimum 60% more. He told me about the “good ole days” when associates were expected to work 200 billable hours a month. He can’t find anyone.

Am I wrong to start talking to recruiters after year 1? I’ve dealt with screaming senior attorneys over minor errors and being “thrown into the deep end” with very little guidance and then being scolded for not getting the desired result despite not being given real instructions.
