I will be interviewing for Sr. Engineering Manager position at BCG DV. I am happy at pwc but wanted to know is it worth switching to BCG DV work and compensation wise? (Accordingly will prepare :) ) Currently Sr. Manager at pwc .

Had my 2nd interview with the hiring manager this past Friday & sent a thank you shortly after. It's now Tuesday (for those who see this on another day). At the end of the interview he said they've had other people who were interested but only one other person besides me were they considering. Said he would talk to his team and possibly have me fly out to meet in person. How long should I wait to follow up without seeming pushy? Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I started learning last summer (right after graduating from college). I am self-taught and I usually get a round in once a week. I never play with others as I have no golf buddies and I am pretty scared to join strangers as I still am pretty early in the learning phase. I can break 90 consistently but never got below 82. I am a mid level and have received an offer from a regional big law firm in a non-market paying location. I believe the firm would be a great fit and the location is where I want to be. The biggest issue is money. I’d be lateraling from full cravath in a major market and the initial offer I received is a bit off that (read: 50% salary reduction). While the market is cheaper in some respects, housing is not. How far can I expect this firm to go to in terms of compensation? Any negotiation tips?
