Fwiw, I talked to a lot of t15 grads that were able to pay it off in 3 years, and they weren’t even in consulting/banking so the debt may not be that much of a hindrance long term.

Couple things to keep in mind
- Many schools offer scholarships to admitted students. These are negotiable and are always worth trying to make happen. The biggest negotiating driver is having a scholarship from an equally ranked school, so may be worth applying to a bunch of schools in the hopes one gives you money (MIT gave me money and Darden didn't so this can be a crapshoot sometimes)
- There are additional scholarships available, particularly to minority/underprivileged groups. I'm a white boy though so if this applies then ask someone else about them
-some schools will pay you to TA or RA in your spare time. Extra work but it's something
