Had a couple MBB interviews few months ago and didn’t make it thru but realized consulting is where I want to pivot my career. Not looking at full-time MBA but looking for a way out into MC work ASAP. Any advice/anybody looking to refer let me know!! Bain & Company Deloitte Kearney Accenture McKinsey & Company

Personal opinion is that it’s not a dangerous virus if you have the right medical resources and proper treatments. However, China doesn’t, not on a per person basis.
Right, most death cases happened in Wuhan, hence proving my point on lacking resources. Should this be a more wide spread epidemic, China would experience a much more desperate time - which is why China enforced such a brutal quarantine policy. I have seen footage of people who died in their home or hospital because of medical shortage. I truly wish those videos are fake.
My favorite restaurant is closed while the owners are in quarantine for the next two weeks.
I felt a little obnoxious mentioning this, but in reality, that’s the only impact it’s directly had.
Well... few have died. Very few, but they have.
SA1: I suspect the number of infected is more understated (on a percentage basis) than the number who’ve died from it, making the mortality rate actually lower than what’s being reported (now about 1%). Frankly, I’m not worried about it and think there’s a fair amount of overreaction. I was kept on a plane after landing yesterday while we waited for medical teams to arrive because one passenger on the plane had been to China three weeks earlier. After loads of medical personnel arrived, they decided to just let us leave without doing any checks and claimed it was a “false alarm.”
I have a cough and now in the back of my mind I think I’m going to die a slow painful death drowning on my own respiratory fluids... despite no fever and being nowhere near any of the 13 cases in the US 😑
