What’s the utilization requirement for a Director?

How is everyone staying motivated at work while going through fertility treatments? On days when I have appts or get my period, all I want to do is google and read forums about it. My utilization is tanking (not because I’m blowing off work, but because I need to find and take on new work) but can’t get the energy to). I’ve told my manager about what I’m going through and she is supportive, but feeling guilty when I hear about how busy everyone around me is and I just can’t find the motivation.

Have any respiratory therapists found jobs OTHER than being a clinical RT? I want to possibly change careers, but I am finding that a lot of jobs (clinical liason, utilization review, etc) want you to have a nursing degree, not a respiratory degree. I feel like as an RT we are limited to jobs.

Got offer from BCG for ECT. Read numerous comments about ECT being not attractive compared to Generalist track. Also heard challenges about billability/utilization. Any views/ guidance appreciated!

PTO Dilemma: I have over 100 hours of PTO remaining from hours carried over from last year that must be used before 12/31. I scheduled out days to use the hours. However, when I put my scheduled PTO in the Utilization Tracker, and include the Thanksgiving holiday and the Collective Disconnect days, I end up below my utilization target. How is that possible? Is it me or is there really something wrong with how utilization is calculated?-

I think we need to expand utilization metrics into audit sabermetrics. Monthly reports showing:

Average expletives per audit
Review notes per workpaper
Average cry time per day

I went to a bach party this past weekend where the MOH organized everything incl. our Airbnb which we all paid for months ago. Our bnb got cancelled last minute & we got a new one, which ended up being cheaper. The MOH has not been forthcoming about that price difference, so I don’t know the exact amount for the bnb we stayed in. By my own calcs, it’s ~$200/pp diff. This MOH & I don’t exactly love each other..How should I tactfully bring this up/raise the question of how much the final bnb was?

Hi All, I’m thinking about getting certified in change management but not sure if I should go the Prosci route or CCMP route. CCMP is a lot cheaper compared to Prosci but would it measure up just the same?
