Communication from my partners seem more negative rather than resolution based. My ideas have been spread around and others are taking credit for it. Micro management has begun. Lots of dialogue about ageism of late. Interesting discussion—one person railing against the bias; alt view from a headhunter, “it’s not ageism, it’s salaryism (us older types too damned $$$). I can see both sides—and do believe economics are the main driver of juniorization. Wonder what others think.

As an analyst I have been told (not asked) by one of the managers (not my direct manager) that I need to handhold the sr analyst he hired through every little detail such as helping him find data sources to pivot tables. The thing is there is a button in excel that shows what data the pivot table is sourced. Is it best to keep quiet and handhold this analyst? Or is it worth trying to escalate this? I have limited bandwidth and I have been working 50+ hours constantly. Some weeks 85+hours.

I received an offer from IBM Bangalore. However I saw openings at my preferred location Kochi only after the interviews. I called the HR after getting their point of contact mail and I asked if it's possible to switch. They said I'm already tagged to a project and that they'll check from their end if it can be done.

Anyone knows the chances of location being changed after receiving the offer and getting tagged to a project?

I’ve given 13 lpa by ibm at 6B band and I’m telling the hr to revise offer to 15 lpa by showing counter but she’s telling me take 13 or join other firm who’s offering 15 …so if I deny it what’s the possibility that she’ll cancel my offer as I want to join ibm only ?
