Is the interview process to get into IBD harder or easier than top consulting firms like BCG/McKinsey/Bain? Where do the truly smart people work nowadays?
Has anyone here used a service to help you find a new job? I’m looking at one where they source and apply for jobs for me. They’ll also help me rework my resume, LinkedIn, and other materials, as well as interview coaching. I’ve been looking for a new position on my own with no luck for the past 6 months. The downside of this service is they charge a commission based on the salary for the job they place you in. Thoughts or advice?
Has anyone ever worked with OOH agency Encompass Media? www.emgmediainc.com. thinking of hiring them for a campaign. Thx
Received an offer to lateral to a Big Law firm in my current state. Kind of my dream job. Recently decided with my spouse that we’ve had more than enough of our current state and we want to move out of state next year. There’s no local office for this firm where we’re going, and no idea if remote would be an option. Conflicted on whether it’s fair to take the position, although I really want it. Thoughts?
How do salary increases work at Big 4 if you come in an experienced hire? For example if I switch firms as an SA at 130k salary, what can I expect as an increase the next year since I’m not on the normal comp structure?
I’m torn. Middle of last year my parents “separated” because of my dads drinking problem (well overdue and I’m glad my mom kicked him out). He lost his job around the same time frame due to covid and started using his 401k for alcohol and honestly idk how much he has left. J moved home to support my mom and sister, but I’m torn if I should help him out because he doesn’t have work. Half of me is like this is your fault for 20+ years and the other half is just like I’m the only person he got ATM
