Deloitte reached out on LinkedIn for an advisory principle/md opportunity in Jan/feb. spoke with the recruiter and was ghosted - figured it was dead and didn’t follow up as I’m pretty happy in my role. Now a new internal Deloitte exec recruiter contacted me to follow up…6 months after being ghosted. Any thoughts on partner/principle recruitment process at Deloitte? Is Deloitte wasting my time? Are there coaching services available for technology case interviews? It seems like the coaches available through Management Consulted, Prep Lounge, My Consulting Coach, etc. have coaching services available for traditional case interviews but not sure if there is another platform specific for tech cases.

Just got another rejection... Is exiting to FAANG or MB really this hard? Trying to go tech.. or mbb, but not getting anywhere. I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected. Interviewed with Google, Amazon, Cisco, McKinsey, and a few others and every-time there is something that is not a match... are the hiring managers looking for like 100% match? That will never happen!!!

I am not that smart. Got a very low score on ACT (below average). Should I even consider getting a MBA? My firm does offer sponsorship, but taking/studying for GMAT/GRE is already stressing me out.

Reading the HBS thread has me worried for applying next year. It seems like for an Asian male even a 3.8+ and 750+ with MBB/BB IB/PE experience doesn’t even get an interview? Is the bar even higher than last year?

The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

I know the stats HS provide on need based aid. But how does it really work? Could you lie in terms of your assets and potentially what you make. How would a background check uncover those.
