Invested a lot around the 2nd week of January. Still in the negatives

That’s fine

Well I put a bunch of money on Netflix in early January and it has shot up since then 🙃

PM \ BATS \ tobacco killed me today.

Sketchers killed me today. ..Was doing very well with AVGO, AMZ, FB...

Doing fairly well with Facebook and my cannabis stocks. Everything else is pretty much flat

I can safely assume that your future long position will be just fine

I'm in the last stage of the screening process for an Amazon AWS security engineer position. Due to the recent hiring freeze, I was given two options: - go through the last screening (5x1 hour interviews) and, if accepted, wait for a position to open. If not accepted I have to wait 1 to 2 years to apply again, as usual. - OR don't go through the screening and having to go through another screening process. Advices on what to do are welcome. Right now I'm more prone to go through the interview.

I started my career in 2011 with 3 lakhs per yr (Engineer, TCS). Today I earn 40 lakh per year (HR consulting, IIM)

Was way happier back then.

In 2011, I thought that if i start earning 30 lakh (inflation adjusted as of today) i will never need more money. But even at 40 lakhs today, i feel like an under achiever.

Realised that money is essential but not everything. Your CTC is not the barometer of happiness!

I have almost $200,000 in cash and I’m not sure what to do with it. I started out saving the extra money I didn’t need to pay of my almost $190k in student loans (gov’t 5-7% interest) while payments were paused, but now that I have enough to pay them off I’m not sure that would be the best use of the money or if it would be better to use it on something else like a down payment. My distaste for non-dischargable debt is definitely a factor. Anyone ever been in a similar situation?
