How bad is 360i? If I’m trying to get to a top agency, and am currently at an unknown digital product shop that is trying (unsuccessfully) to work on ads, is it potentially a good move?

If they are winning a lot of awards as AD1 says and you have none, it is a good move. Menno Kluin is a brilliant creative (hence all the awards at 360, and every other agency he’s ever been at). Do some research on the leadership and make your own judgement on the work.

Jeez. Menno is a great creative (or so I keep reading). But that doesn't make him a great leader. Yeah he has his followers who do as he says. But if you go against the grain it won't go well. And if you don't help him win awards you're seen as worthless. Also, most of the awards were won by creatives who mo longer work there. Either way it sounds like a better move than wherever you're currently at OP. Just make sure to do good work fast and get out quicky.

It’s obviously not the hottest shop in the world, but an upgrade from an unknown digital agency for sure. As others have stated, Menno Kluin, does awesome work wherever he is.

It’s a good place to get some as experience as a newbie. Not so great if you have experience.

Depends on who you are working for. We segment our ecd teams and have a content lab that does mainly social media work. If you want to stay digital and work on that sort of content it will not be as conceptual as the other teams in 360i.

Also, the fact that this question starts out with "how bad..." 💩

Yes it’s potentially a good move? Think I’ll be able to do digital video work there that will give me experience that can be translated to broadcast?

What do the Partners on here think of how these layoffs are being handled? Very curious (P1, where are you???)

Life insurance: do I need it? Not married (live with LT boyfriend - renting), own 2 investment properties, no kids, early 30s, in Canada. No “dependents”, and my family could pay for final expenses. I’m healthy and insurance is cheap. Should I just get it? Any extra $ if I pass suddenly could go to younger sibling/ family / charity, or to pay off mortgages. What am I missing?

Random question about social security: if I switch jobs mid year and had already reached the max contribution to social security in my prior job (but am still getting the same % deducted in my new role), do I notify anyone or will I just receive the delta in the form of a refund during tax season?

For those who have switched big 4 firms, what was your reason?

What's the TC range for the post MBA level? Specifically not just in year 1, but in years 2 and 3 in between post MBA and manager level? And what does the TC breakdown look like at the manager level over the years?

CMT vs CAIA? I currently work in sales for an asset manager and have an MBA. Would like a designation, one that’s applicable to asset management and has some status/recognition. Appreciate any thoughts or insights. (Also dont want to take CFA)

Anyone here switched to fund accounting? I'm thinking of switching from big 4 financial services.

Are there any agencies that have not gone through any layoffs, furloughs or pay cuts, hiring freezes etc? Shops that are, so far still financially functioning as normal? I know squarespace is one.

What's a good way to tell a potential case (that's expected to be crazy in hours and has brutal travel) that you're working on MBA apps and need a little time on weekday evenings and weekends?
