I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

You owe nothing to anybody. If employers can kick you out while you are down, you can remove yourself if needed. I wouldn't quit on the spot personally but I'm not going to wait until busy season is over either.

If you feel that you are underpaid leave this place
I cannot do another busy season period. I’m looking now but afraid I won’t find something in time

It’s not a big deal. I know people who have boomeranged who quit mid busy season lol
Leave when you can. You don’t owe telling them now that you are looking and you don’t owe them another busy season. People quit all the tine and the work gets done so don’t worry

You owe nobody anything. This year should be proof to anyone that firms do NOT care about you and will kick you to the curb the second it is convenient to do so. Why in the world should you do any differently? It’s a business decision on your end as well
