CAUGHT UP and it feels so good 🤩
That was a hard lesson to learn.

Never behind. Dictaphone for the win 🙌🏻
As a millennial, I love working with a dictaphone.

I have to put in literally ALL of my january time at some point this weekend 💀
A17 - it’s our timekeeping app from the firm - I’m not sure it would work with a standalone app. This is connected to our system so I can look up client and matter numbers and run timers that I can save and then release directly from the app. I don’t think I’d survive without it!!
You don’t bill contemporaneously with the work you’re doing?
I don’t understand any of the words you just wrote. 😂
I’m never more than a day behind because I like to know whether I’m hitting my billable target AKA at what point during the month I can start slacking. 😅
I literally enter time as I do work and submit it daily. I would absolutely lose time that could be billed if I waited. Using timers, it really isn’t much of a burden to handle it daily.
I honestly don’t understand how people get behind on time. I get my time in every single day, even when I have 300+ hour months. Just enter your time. It’s really not that hard? The longer you procrastinate the worse it’ll be.
We all know this and envy people like you.
Lol there are 4 of us in the office right now back billing as we speak. My managing partner all day everyday “Bill as you go”
Glad to hear. My employers in all my defense jobs have acted like I was the only person in history to procrastinate.
Can never be more than 3 days behind. Time is due on Tuesday and Thursday. If I don't enter it I'm fined $50 for each late day (deducted from my check)
Edit $1050 in fines last year.
Yikes!!!
4.5 days
Two weeks 🤗
At the start of covid my firm began insisting we enter time daily. It irks me but I fell in line. And if I'm being honest, I probably capture more time this way.
Us too. Enter daily but at least 2x a week by the 9m deadline on Monday/Thursday. $50 fine for each late day not in by deadline. Cannot tell u how many fines I've received while still sitting at my comp billing for the current day.
Our bonus gets docked if we’re behind on time.... so everything is in but today!
Same.
Studies show failure to do it daily results in most time. Just do it.
I’m only 2 days behind on my billing narratives but I’ve got all the time contemporaneously recorded
Oh yeah that’s the worst. Especially if it’s a big entry where I just drafted something and have no emails then I have to look at our doc management system.
I have billed about 6 hours so far and worked every day in January soooo... yeah busy weekend
4 days behind on releasing...the time is all there the narratives just aren’t 😬
Two days. But I’m government so it doesn’t matter (except that I keep getting reminder popups).
Ok I’m officially jealous because we have an annual figure to reach in order to “meet expectations” on our yearly eval.
Time to start entering time for all those phone calls I made last month starting 1/1...

Just since Tuesday. I had a weird week and didn’t write all my time down, so now I have to go back and rebuild it... not my preferred way to do things.
