Yikes. Those integration consulting skills are so irrevelant- do you model (spend revenue etc) or build ppts (content, story etc?)

I got into it by being a good engineer. When my company wanted to buy something we got involved. Did this a lot and eventually built a business around it.

I moved from ERP implementations to M&A as a C. You need to build a network and find a mentor in the M&A space before you can attempt to make the switch; at least that’s what I did, and it worked

I lateralled into biglaw from a compliance job a couple of months ago because I was given a "too good to be true" opportunity (2 years out of law school), and I have regretted it ever since. I can afford the pay cut thankfully, just worried about the ability to find work.

I am Senior1 in Global Mobility Services and don't want to be pigeonholed so thinking to change group. I want to stay in Tax so what is a good option for me?

I am a Staff II in tax and am looking to go into consulting or finance. I have experience in finance and like the idea of switching. I like where I work, but have realized that I don't necessarily enjoy tax. I want to keep my options open and feel that tax doesn't necessarily give me the capacity to explore opportunities besides tax due to the fact that is it such specialized knowledge. Does anyone have any stories/ideas about moving to consulting or finance? Or is one preferred over the other?

Do I take the boutique firm offer now, hang around at EY to see if I get it, or be patient and keep applying elsewhere (other big 4 or middle market)? Want to avoid another bzy season

Needed this group's feedback on how can I make my M&A resume bullets more action oriented and impactful, rather than stating what I did?

Since, most of my work has been in Diligence and PMO - there is little I can show to quantify the impact made.

For e.g. "Evaluated Industry X by conducting market sizing, voice of customer analysis....etc" - This just states what I did instead of bringing out the impact. How will you tweak this?

Thank you.
