Tell them you can build them a direct, fiber line from Chicago to NYC, cutting through rivers and mountains, cutting their data transmission speeds from 17 to 13 milliseconds.

There it a job opening at drw for this/similar.

I’m pretty sure even with MBB you are out of luck for anything “front office” unless you have an MS or PhD in something quanty.

Where are you now? You may be able to break into their ops functions if you are from MBB and have a strong referral. They were hiring a lot last year, not sure about this year. Def hard to get into

Considering leaving Bain with 2 years in SM role, HSW MBA, and 11 years since undergrad. Google role is non-technical Cloud Strategy. Unsure of title or level at this point - called "lead" but contact indicated flexibility. Would be remote in a non-SF/NY location. Mgr indicated it was technically an individual contributor role though I would be managing 2 people. What comp/level should I expect (Assuming L6?)? What is the significance of the IC role if I'm technically managing 2?

Something on my mind is how I often hear my white male friends complaining about affirmative action biasing their mba eligibility, but when I point out white people have it easier than Asians they become very defensive. Funny how they can see themselves as the victim but not that they benefit from the system. Would y’all agree with the premise (Asians have it harder than white people)? If so, have you noticed this white defensiveness in your life?

Coming from a big 4 - Can we mention the names of the clients we have worked with over the years when interviewing? I am at a boutique agency now working with some people who came from Accenture and some other consulting companies and I noticed that they will reference their clients by brand name. If it is a past project and you do not give any client sensitive information is it OK to share the names of the brands that you've worked with in your previous role? What's standard?

After your first job, how relevant is GPA. For context, I went to a school that is very well known for grade deflation (Deloitte had a “suggested” minimum of 3.2 here) and I studied statistics, a particularly rough major at the school. Long story short, GPA was between a 2.9 and 3.0. This wasn’t due to slacking and I’ve done well at Deloitte so far with plenty of experience to speak to. Would my GPA still block me from certain firms, like any of the MBB firms or a Tier 2 consulting firm?
