How can I continue to be involved with research without necessarily working in a research-heavy role?

I'm looking to get away from RIA compliance and into either a sales or strategy role . I already have my 7 and 66 licenses, are there any recommendations on obtaining any other certifications or specific skills I should sharpen while I look for open roles?

I am about to receive an offer from EY GDS for a role of a Business Analyst_Banking finance (Principal Consultant) with a CTC of 27 LPA (inclusive of 10% variable).

I am having 10.5 YOE. Is this grade relevant which they have offered, taking my YoE into account? How much i can negotiate upto in CTC front? I mean the highest slab of Principal consultant?

I currently work at a large research institution and am in the process of getting retroactively reclassified to a new title (Long story but my PI is cheap and routinely pays ppl the bare minimum so now the Union is helping me w/ a retro reclass.)
