I was contacted for C2H role at EY. How's the conversion rate? Is it worth trying? I was told based on performance they will make me permanent.

Anyone have thoughts about moving from underwriting to a distribution / marketing role? My personal worry is that marketing would be the first to go back if the company took a downturn.

Debating betwn staying on with current team after negotiating a 30% increase or accepting PT role, with this negotiated increase the hourly pay is $1 different. (Prior to this I was making nearly $11 less/hour from PT role) PT role was 20 hours/week and emailed ask if I’d be open to 30 which is more appealing. 7.5 YOE in current role, worried about losing seniority in economic climate and risk to layoffs in PT role but being a parent I have been seeking more time not working too. I have 2 offers 1. Start up 60 LPA EM role, 40K ESPOS , 2 . Well known public listed company 51 lpa ( Lead Role) 90K RSUs . I said yes to second after some negotiation. HR was not willing to pay more than this even though it is just 20% hike from my current salary. But I accepted the offer as i wanted it badly. Now I got offer from start up as well (1) , can i still ask her to consider the 2nd offer and pay me accordingly? Or it will lead to offer cancelation:(

This "weekends are protected" fallacy (told during recruiting) came up recently and I want to ask here to see how normal this is. My firm has offshore teams that require Sun-Thurs pm turnover (often anywhere between 9-11pm). People are saying that's just how consulting is but I find it hard to believe a 9pm Sunday meeting is normal. Does your firm do this?

Hi everyone, I’m joining the UT Data Analytics Bootcamp because I want to make the transition out of tech sales into data analytics. I’ve enjoyed, learned a lot but the stress has taken a toll on my health health. It’s a 7 month program that starts in December. I’m asking, would any of you who are in this field do the Bootcamp or would it be best to just go back to school for a Bachelor’s degree or a Masters in Data Analytics. Moving to a job for a manager/controller role for a smaller company. Past coworkers put in a good word for me and basically hyped me up to their boss. I was confident about what i can deliver but now nervous about not living up to expectations!
