Hi everyone, I'm currently looking for a new role.

I've been a Sales Representative for a year and a half now working for a startup that went public early this year. During this time, I have had the opportunity to work B2C and transition into a POC for many business partners. For my next role I'm looking to build on more B2B skills and closing larger deals. Is there anyone that has knowledge of an BDR role or a CSM opening within their network?

Been in Telecom sales for about 4 years. Recently laid off. The plan originally was to break into SAAS AI/ML as either an AE or SDR. Recruiter reached out to me today from Telecom company and asked if I’d be interested in an Enterprise role. He was really cool on the call, comp is great, so I think I might move forward. Question: is it better to stay in that industry and pivot into a more senior role later or should I stay the course and seek out SAAS SDR/AE roles?

Talked to a former colleague who is now a hiring manager at Microsoft and thought of me for some roles he has open. He told me the signing package included $100k bonus and $300k in stock, and OTE for sales around $350k ($50k of which is stock). Can anyone validate that? My comp has been around $300k the past two years but those have been ready good years for me and higher than usual, and there is no stock given that I don’t buy myself (though I can buy at a 25% discount).

Currently in sales. 26. Take extreme pride in my work and the effort I put into it. I know it sounds like a greedy millennial, but I feel very underpaid and undervalued. Am I aiming too high? I was an sr. account executive/broker in the financial field for the past 15 years. I focused on both retail and B2B for clients. We also sold our trading platform to clients (saas) as well. I’ve been applying to enterprise account exec. positions at software companies and getting interviews. However, they are rarely progressing into the later rounds. Should I be applying to mid-market or lower to break into the tech space? Any input is appreciated!

Hey Fish,
I have a question for a friend of mine.
He is currently under a hiring process for a tech saas firm for a enterprise sales executive role.
He was contacted first by a headhunter, then had interview with HR, then a local managing director and then a Head of Sales (all on a 3 weeks timeframe) which went all very well. (Headhunter feedback).
He will have a last itw with a VP Sales and was wondering what to think about a final decision to be noticed two weeks after last itw?
Thank you

One of the most disarming things you can do in sales is bringing up objections before your prospect does.

Eminem did this in the last rap battle scene in 8-Mile.

Here's an example of how you can practice this before your next sales call.
