ACN fish (or any experience consulting fish): what's the process of getting rolled off a client engagement 3 months early. Am on a staff aug and it's terrible. I've flagged to leadership in the past that the role doesn't align with my skills but nothing changed. I would rather quit than stay here if they don't get me off but it's so unclear if that's even an option. Any advice? For context: I'm an experienced hire and been here a little longer than 9 months so don't know the rules yet
What’s the longest amount of time you’ve spent on the bench? And what did you do during the time? First time on the bench after 3 years here
Long Post : I have a divorced female friend that I have known for over 15 years and consider as a sister. For the past couple weeks because I was on the bench and bored we talked about an hour+ often, especially when I am walking and need company. My wife went through my T mobile call history and mad because I'm talking to her too often and too long. She knows the friend as well and we all hangout on multiple occasions. Am I doing something wrong here? Or my wife is just insecure?
Shoutout to all the consulting moms out there. I ever make it big you’re getting bench work for a year. God bless my wife. My gosh
If you’re on the bench and you put in your 2 weeks, can they let you go the next day without pay? Or are they required to fulfill (pay you) those 2 weeks?
I've been on the bench for a month, should I be worried? There is no projects in my group in sight 😪 any suggestions?

Any company file GC on day 1 in NYC or NJ area or east coast. Maxing out in feb 2022 and on bench nothing is started. What I can do ? Please suggest. Skill set AWS/ DevOps/ Infra.
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
When you’re on the bench and already sent out requests to help with BD work....how late do you chill in bed? Be honest 👀
I don’t understand how people keep posting about the bench and being unassigned. I’m in advisory(not audit) and my entire LoS is trending 90%+ utilization
Got called Friday at 1pm saying I could only bill 10hrs next week and had to roll off after due to budget. Wow thanks its not like you had a budget excel sheet and could have told me this atleast...
Got staffed my first week in the firm, was expecting the overhiring to give me some quality beach time.

Flight to LGA delayed due to technical issues at Logan, so I hopped onto the next one at JFK. This one is delayed due to technical issues too! Wtf Delta
I'm a non-technical person, and looking at the current scenario, the demand for technical person is very high. Being in my late thirties, it is never easy to shift and learn new technologies that is in demand, even if I try, It wouldn't be easy to compete with technical people in the interview. Any good course/suggestion that can help me boost my career as non technical
Yes or No. Flight attendant asks me to move from bulkhead seat so the two large people next to me can have more room. Moves me to middle of the plane, aisle seat......

Johnson & Johnson applying to your r&d science intern. Am I able to get a referral? It’s been rough trying to get any lab experience since COVID hit
Hi ladies. I’m not happy in my current role (bored with the work, feel completely undervalued by management, etc) and want to take advantage of this job market to switch into consulting (preferably MBB). I have zero experience with case interviews, so how long do you recommend studying/prepping prior to applying? Should I apply now and prep while I’m waiting for an interview? Will this be enough time to adequately prep? Appreciate any advice!

After a year of being extremely underpaid, my boss gave me a 30% raise I didn't ask for. Is that normal? Or super generous?
My SO and I just got an adoption placement (2 siblings in elementary school) and all of our friends think we are crazy for wanting to raise them in NYC. We have the space, basically figured (cont.)
