Hi All,
Any update on WFH continuity?
Got an offer for Electronic Arts (EA) Manager for North America (Canada) remote for 100k base CAD, 15 percent bonus and around low 40ks RSU (assuming it's USD). How much higher can the base be in Canada for EA for a Manager role? Base seems low even at 110 CAD. It's a corporate role so not anything technical or product related. Most or all the more senior managers are in the USA. Electronic Arts (EA)

I suggest that you set up a brokerage account and contribute a set amount each payche5 into a low-fee S&P index mutual fund. This way it will be forced savings (paying yourself first) that you won't particularly miss. It will accumulate over time, and you will be dollar cost averaging by buying more when equities are low, and less when they are inflated.
Checkout wealthfront. It's free for first $15000. I just invested 10k
Thanks! Yes I'd like to save up for a house in the next few years. @kpmg2, I will reach out soon. Thanks!

What you said make sense PwC1, but depends if he might need the money soonish or not. Equities are at an all time high. There is a risk they will downward correct at some point soon - but no one can really say. You should follow the investment closely and liquidate the position if they start heading south.
If you don't need the money for a few years you should be good though
OP, when you say investing, towards what goal are you striving? Is this retirement and you're already maxed on tax-deferred accounts? Are you looking to have money grow in time for a house payment in 3-5 years? What's your risk tolerance? Start with answering all of those questions first for yourself and once you do, the investment vehicle will become much clearer.
Shoot me an email at kpmgfishbowl@gmail.com and I can refer you.
I second wealthfront move. It takes the guess work out of investing and it places it in a well diversified portfolio....I swear by wealthfront. Betterment is a good option as well
