How can I word an email follow-up with a recruiter to let them know that I am weighing my options in regard to job opportunities and would like to keep this one on the table? I don’t want to say it exactly like that because I feel that it sounds too direct. But it’s been a little over a week since my last (final) interview and I’ve had no follow up from them. Thanks in advance!

I'd say keep it simple and don't worry about being too direct.

"I wanted to let you know I have received an offer from another company. However, I am still very interested in the position at [company name] and would be grateful for any update so I can factor that into my decision."

I would note that IMHO if you haven't heard from the company in over a week it isn't a good sign. Recruiters usually get back within a few days if they are going to make an offer.

Thank you I appreciate the help! I agree about things not looking good. They called me to follow up after every interview and now radio silence on the “feedback”

like

Be straight up - I haven't heard from you in over a week and I have other opportunities. Recruiters appreciate transparency and directness.

What about something like, “It’s been about a week since my interview, so I thought I would reach out to you for a status update. Have you gotten any feedback from my interviewer?”

like

I second what LogicMonitor 1 advised! Direct and to the point respectfully

A recruiter is supposed to be your ally. Do not hesitate to reach out and ask where you are in the process. If you have made it all the way to the final interview, they know that you are interested in the position.

Good luck! I hope the only hold up here is they are waiting for legal to put together your offer. If not, tell yourself that you've dodged a bullet and move on...

I love that first piece of advice. I have to keep that in mind more often, they’re not my ally. Thank you and I’m really fine either way it goes! I’ve done so much interviewing that no rejection disappoints me anymore

Been with Deloitte for about a year as a consultant and currently interviewing for a Business Integrity role at Meta. Hey gang, when applying for a job, what’s the etiquette for connecting directly with the person who you would be reporting to through LinkedIn? Would it be considered creepy/ unprofessional? And if not, what’s the best way to approach it?

For context

Hello, everyone!

I have an interview for a relatively new law firm early next week. However, upon doing more research about them, I noticed that their website has only a black-and-white website about only what the law firm is about.

My questions are:

1. Is this a red flag?

2. How do you guys prepare for interviews specifically with law firms that have little to some information on their website and Glassdoor?

Thank you so much in advance!

Help! I have a panel interview in a few days & I'm not sure what to do at this stage of the interview process. Up until now, I've only had initial interviews with recruiters or a 2nd round 1:1 with hiring managers & now I don't know what to expect. I've been told that they use the STAR method for answers & I'm researching that now, but a) what should I expect during this time & b) what are some questions typically asked at this stage?
