How close am I to seeing an offer letter assuming all thing’s go well? For context, I was laid off a month ago so I’m starting to get really anxious now.

With the 1st company, I just completed a panel interview after having an interview with the hiring manager and completing a take home assignment. Will hear back next week.

I’m a junior litigation associate at a small firm, and the managing partner says things like “you aren’t providing value to the firm” or “you’re being paid to avoid mistakes like these” when I make mistakes due to, what I believe, to be a lack of guidance and instruction. Interviews should feel like a conversation rather than just a bunch of questions thrown at the candidate. Conversational interviews are much more successful AND less stressful for the candidate which I believe is extremely important. You can still ask all the questions you have but not making it seem like you're going down a list and checking boxes off. Thoughts? :)
