Is it normal to be threatened to be fired after making mistakes that you had no idea were mistakes in the first place?
I’m a junior litigation associate at a small firm, and the managing partner says things like “you aren’t providing value to the firm” or “you’re being paid to avoid mistakes like these” when I make mistakes due to, what I believe, to be a lack of guidance and instruction. As in, they could be easily avoided with a “please keep in mind X” or something like that. Thoughts?

I am interviewing with Amazon next week for a HR Contact Center Associate - ERC DLS Support role. I have never interviewed with/worked for Amazon so I've been searching for info here, binging YouTube guides, & googling everything. My brain is numb. LPs, loops, bar raisers...so much jargon.
I need a little encouragement & maybe some insight. Does anyone have experience with this role & the interview process? Is it as intimidating as it seems? Any tips you wish you'd known?
Thank you! 🌸

I’m in my early 20s and have the option to move to the Sydney, Australia office for a period of time. What’s the dating scene like for Asian males there? I’m concerned of perceived bias against Asians where whites don’t want to mix with us, esp in dating. Is it better/worse than in the US?

So I just had an on-site interview with multiple people and wanted to send thank you notes. I don't have all their contact information so I going to write one to the director and ask him to pass along my thanks to his interview team. How detailed should a thank you note be?
I have a call with a recruiter and in their initial email they said the conversation would take place via Teams and I don't have to have my camera on if I don't want to. I assume it would be better to have my camera on so I can better show enthusiasm/give off positive vibes right? And what's the best practice if their camera is off?

What is the appropriate response when a recruiter asks what your salary expectations are? I don’t want to undervalue myself but at the same time I don’t want to over shoot where I believe the position can afford. Additionally there isn’t much information on the posting regarding salary expectations but any feedback is welcomed and appreciated.
Have a salesforce account executive interview next week. It’s just the initial call but want to be prepared for any curveballs as I’m coming from a different industry (sales but not CRM) Any advice?
I don't mean to complain. I work in industry for 5 years with an active CPA, now looking for public accounting jobs. I know industry exp doesn't count much in firms. I applied for audit associate senior at Grant Thornton LLP (US) and recruiting manager gave me a chance to interview, but the call only lasts for 5 minutes. 1st question he asked is do you have auditing experience in public accounting firm? I honestly said No. He wrapped up the call and asked if I know anyone with audit experience to refer?????
Interviews should feel like a conversation rather than just a bunch of questions thrown at the candidate. Conversational interviews are much more successful AND less stressful for the candidate which I believe is extremely important. You can still ask all the questions you have but not making it seem like you're going down a list and checking boxes off. Thoughts? :)

How long does the interview process typically take these days? The last time I moved companies it took 5 mos from the time I applied, interviewed, to my start date. I applied and interviewed with 4 organizations starting April of this year- completed the final 3rd round interview with them last week of May and have been waiting on offers. How long should I expect to receive an offer? All went very well and received positive feedback. PwC director role is my top choice at the moment. Thanks.
Can you help me? I’m working on my mission statement and would love some feedback! Due to length constrains I’m putting it in the comments.

I am working full time and interviewing with 4 different companies and feel burnt out by interview prep.
Recently interviewed with a company and they offered me a job position that has not been created yet. Engineering firm with no customer service interface, so I would be the first and creating a team of my own for the company. I’ve kept in touch with the COO but still no definite date or offer letter. Was told the start of Q4 but wondering if I’m being led on. Thoughts?
I’m currently a high school teacher, but I have a final interview next week for an ID job that I feel very good about.
I plan on accepting the job offer if I’m lucky enough to be selected. However, I want to be able to give my school as much notice as possible so they have some time to find a replacement before the year starts.
Is there a way I can bring this up in the interview without making it seem like I’m trying to pressure them into a decision?

How many rounds remain for the 1st company?
2nd company may have higher chance at offering something soon if salary aligns.
I was told that it depends. Panel interview is usually the last one but sometimes they do a final interview with the CTO based on feedback given from the panel.
From initial HR screen to offer in hand could be 6-8 weeks in my experience. These are all great signals of traction, I hope you get at least one of them. As someone who has been laid off before, stay confident and do not give off any desperation vibes.
With the 2nd company, I completed 2 interviews: one with the hiring manager and one with her peer. The recruiter reached out this week and wanted to confirm salary/benefits. Next interview will be with the Director and a Senior PM.
With the 3rd company, I had an interview with the hiring manager and have an interview with the VP and Director next week.
How long after your second interview with the hiring manager did you hear back?
