Are layoffs done at Deloitte?
I am interviewing with Amazon next week for a HR Contact Center Associate - ERC DLS Support role. I have never interviewed with/worked for Amazon so I've been searching for info here, binging YouTube guides, & googling everything. My brain is numb. LPs, loops, bar raisers...so much jargon.
I need a little encouragement & maybe some insight. Does anyone have experience with this role & the interview process? Is it as intimidating as it seems? Any tips you wish you'd known?
Thank you! 🌸

I don't mean to complain. I work in industry for 5 years with an active CPA, now looking for public accounting jobs. I know industry exp doesn't count much in firms. I applied for audit associate senior at Grant Thornton LLP (US) and recruiting manager gave me a chance to interview, but the call only lasts for 5 minutes. 1st question he asked is do you have auditing experience in public accounting firm? I honestly said No. He wrapped up the call and asked if I know anyone with audit experience to refer?????
How long does the interview process typically take these days? The last time I moved companies it took 5 mos from the time I applied, interviewed, to my start date. I applied and interviewed with 4 organizations starting April of this year- completed the final 3rd round interview with them last week of May and have been waiting on offers. How long should I expect to receive an offer? All went very well and received positive feedback. PwC director role is my top choice at the moment. Thanks.

How many rounds remain for the 1st company?
2nd company may have higher chance at offering something soon if salary aligns.
I was told that it depends. Panel interview is usually the last one but sometimes they do a final interview with the CTO based on feedback given from the panel.
From initial HR screen to offer in hand could be 6-8 weeks in my experience. These are all great signals of traction, I hope you get at least one of them. As someone who has been laid off before, stay confident and do not give off any desperation vibes.
With the 2nd company, I completed 2 interviews: one with the hiring manager and one with her peer. The recruiter reached out this week and wanted to confirm salary/benefits. Next interview will be with the Director and a Senior PM.
With the 3rd company, I had an interview with the hiring manager and have an interview with the VP and Director next week.
How long after your second interview with the hiring manager did you hear back?
