Used to live at Addison and Lake Shore. Noise was not an issue at all.
If you can handle the carjackings, shootings, and muggings go for it
I live in Roscoe Village right next to Lakeview and it has been an extremely minimal issue, if at all…
I’m not asking if the area is safe when it is already one of the safer neighborhoods.
I lived 2 blocks from wrigley field for years and had very few issues with noise or drunk people. Only time the drunk people annoyed me was when I forgot there was a game and tried to take the El from Addison. Traffic can be bad Irving park to Belmont though. Tbh I never had much of an issue with it because I took the el so much instead of driving though.
For context, I’m looking at condos in Roscoe Village, Lakeview, and Lincoln Park at the moment and have excluded the square of Broadway to Southport and Belmont to Irving Park rd right around the stadium but want to make sure that is accurate.
Gotcha, good to know. I’m on Belmont now, but between Ashland and western so it’s not too bad
I can answer your question though - try side streets like Cornelia, Fremont, or around Grace and Dayton
You can go a block away from Clark and be fine.
