How come an empty column and row are usually added to the top left of the spreadsheet? Is it for navigation purposes?

Anyone else get frustrated when the partner brags about their billable hour amount for the month? Like congrats, you get to bill .2 for each piece of mail. You also get .2 for every letter your secretary types up as a "form letter" you never even look at. As an Associate, I don't get those easy/automatic hours.

Any program recommendations for building decks for clients? Indesign is obviously the best IMO, but I’ve found it difficult for clients who don’t have a design background and want to make changes in the future. I feel keynote is a nightmare...wondering if I’m alone in this sentiment lol. Wipro walo, I have joined on last month, 11th July. I am working in South African shift timings. I am entitled to get Rs 2500 per month as shift allowance, but I didn't get it for last month. On speaking to one of our senior members, he said shift assignment only takes place between 1st to 10th of every month. So it will be assigned this month and will also receive last month shift allowance pay as arrear. Is this true ? Where can I check whether my manager has assigned me a shift or not ?

I am running a macro that uses "Application.FileDialog(MsoFileDialogType.msoFileDialogFilePicker)" to select a single workbook file and then open the selected workbook.

Cell A1 on Sheet1 of the workbook that is running the macro contains sheet names that can be selected from a drop-down list. I want to be able to use the sheet name that is in cell A1 to select that sheet in the newly opened workbook.

It's probably something simple, but I can't seem to get it to work. Any ideas?

I have a huge (12,000 plus row) healthcare dataset. Each line is an individual procedure and the date that it happened, per patient. I want to figure out the times each patient came in for one procedure per date or more than one. Can someone remind me how I can best do this?
