Do you also make Word and PowerPoint documents with no margins?
It’s a nonsense people like to do. As if you started all your Word documents with a blank line. There are already margins implemented for export purposes, and leaving first line and row empty just messes up your export..
It’s just aesthetically pleasing. I feel more comfortable adding more columns in between A:B than I do creating a new A
Because it looks ugly if you dont
You can also conveniently use the empty column on the left as a means to zoom to the top of the sheet with CTRL+UpArrow.
Oh wow there is actually a home button. Thnx learned something new
Helps with screen grabs 🤷🏼♀️
Looks better
With long spreadsheets with multiple sections that I don't want to spread between tabs I use this column to annotate with an x the start of the new section. Then Ctrl-arrow to move up and down between sections easily.
Mine is not to wonder why .... or some shit like that.
Bc I am too lazy to look at the column letter so I use the blank column to easily know that I am at the beginning of it...also idk I just think it looks better imo. I also don't like freeze panes so there's that.
I use Column A for the lettering for notes (a, b, c, etc). The note itself starts in column B. So my initial setup almost will always include a smaller column A (width of 2).
