My brother works for a non profit as a financial analyst in the M&A division. He has a finance background and wants to learn more about his changes of getting into IB or PE.

Been since May 23rd that I’ve completed my background check. Called the 3rd party company and they said the background check has been sent to the hiring company for review as of last Friday. Should I wait another day before following up with my recruiter about the status of the background check? I don’t suspect there to be any crazy thing, but I’m just anxious. I’ve just never had a background check take at or over a week. Advice?

I definitely feel like the shipyard is low balling our salaries in Newport News. I am an Electrical Engineer with 9 years of experience, plus 3 years as a electrical technician at Dominion Power and only making $81,000/ year. Pretty low right? I just want to know what exactly am I worth when an offer is on the table. I&C experience, ship power experience, high voltage experience, etc.

Just curious of the cis guys who all is painting their nails? I am seeing more and more guys with manicured/long finger nails. People should do what they want, but this is a turn off for me. I met a guy for coffee from Tinder this week and he seemed sexy in his pics etc, but then had 💅🏻 long multicolored manicured nails. Said he goes weekly to a salon.
