How companies are hard today on preferred qualifications vs mandatory?

Because you will always find candidates that will fill the preferred qualifications so it easier for these companies to recruit those over great candidates but without the background.

Tell me about your experience and if you were a candidate without the preferred and you finally got hired.

Depends on how competitive the job market is - that's my only input.

Over the past few months I have had many recuriters reach out to me because I had a direct background for the role they're hiring for even though I didn't have the exact amount of year's of experience. I feel like this will change as the job market has been hot over the past few months and now everyone is cautious due to an incoming recession.

Hello Everyone,

I'm currently a civil design engineer, and trying to switch to real estate as a Program Manager. I have an interview in a week where they tell me I will have to work on ( for about 3-4 hours ) on an operational case study.

The job is located in Paris and the job is in French .

Does anyone here have any case studies in Real estate that they can share ? and if they're from France, that would be even better.

Thank you in advance !

Coming from a world where hiring processes are informal and the single most-important thing is who you know at a company, I'm a little unfamiliar w/ the tech world interview process.

I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work. It’s this terrible feeling of like anguish/unease in my gut, but I don’t have anything I’m worried about- it’s like my body wants to find something to worry about.
