We are trying to do more creative work. And we’ve done some really great stuff in the past year. Are we worthy of being #4 on A List? Who knows... Everyone has their own opinion. But it feels good to be recognized. Especially as a creative who comes from the traditional advertising world. We aren’t the best, but we aren’t as bad or undeserving as everyone thinks.
I like Edelman 1’s humble perspective.
This year’s A-List recognized the new shape of the industry. Edelman, Giant Spoon, Work + Co, even Mullen Lowe as media agency of the year. Times are changing and we shouldn’t try to judge what type of company does or doesn’t belong.
Ad Age is a a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs.
...well then.

Like backing up a money truck and dumping it into her bank account? Sure
I agree with the above. Glad to see ad age evolve in what they count as agencies especially since advertising has evolved completely
Honestly that whole list is devolving into “agencies that are coziest with and pay the most money to AdAge"
D2, it is true that Abbey Klaassen was an AVP and editorial Director at ad age for some time. Perhaps the whiz bang of the maze on Alexa was more what impressed but it’s a fair point. And ACD, yes, I agree about Edelman. Two of their departed creative leaders are good friends and that place by their accounts and others appears a toxic one for creatives of all stripe.
