I personally thought it was one of the better communications we have received from the firm this week, I appreciate that he doesn’t fill the email with platitudes and addresses everyone. Question for people in forensic field - Is there a reason why many forensic roles prefer people who can speak multiple languages? I mean I understand that there are international arbitration type of work, but is that all? How would your language skill benefit you in these roles? Appreciate your inputs.

Is there a big gap in pay between forensics at major accounting/consulting firms and smaller local/regional shops?

My office currently works on really big corporate cases: antitrust, bankruptcies, valuations, etc. but I’m interested in the work smaller shops do like divorces, personal injury, wrongful death, etc.

I am a CFE, but my primary role is accounting advisory. Are there ways that I can still continue to expand my practical knowledge about the forensic accounting profession (getting involved with the ACFE and other orgs, volunteering, etc.) without switching over to a forensic accounting role entirely?
