Hi All, Today I've resigned and my LOD is 2 Sept. Can anyone please let me know for these 90 days salary would be credited only after FnF. Or June'22 salary will be credited as usual, however, July and September salary would be credited during FnF. Please confirm or suggest.

Ask around for recommendations. Word of mouth is best. Also in my experience the best therapists do not take insurance, but are worth it.
You’ll probably end up doing a little bit of therapist shopping until you find one that suits you and your needs. Unfortunately, part of the process can involve trying out a session or two and realizing you need to try someone else. Pretty much every therapist has a profile on psychology today, which helps with searching. Here are some things to consider:
1. Do they take your insurance?
2. Are they in your area? (Even if that doesn’t matter right now, long-term you may want to go to in-person sessions).
3. Do you have any specific mental health related diagnoses? Many therapists list the types of clients they mostly take on on their psychology today profiles, and it can help find someone more suited to your needs.
4. Are you a person of color? LGBTQ? Often it helps to have a therapist that is similar to you, as they can better understand your experiences and how to help you. I’m a gay man and I’ve learned that I need either a woman or a gay man as a therapist.
Best of luck!!
I would start on the website for your health insurance. They will have a list of in-network providers and that is usually a good place to start finding any doctor. Mental health doctors are in high demand, especially now, so finding a good doctor with upcoming availability for new patients can be more difficult than you think!
Thanks all!! I actually have been seeing a great therapist for awhile although I started feeling like because she couldn’t understand the issues that have arisen as part of my identity there were things I was avoiding bringing up with her. I’m hoping to find someone who may be better aligned to my background and I feel more comfortable with
Op - mind sharing your cultural background?
Psychologytoday.com is pretty good. I find that the insurance info on there is pretty up to date and their filters work pretty well to find the type of therapy I am looking for.
I then triage that with reviews from Yelp and Google and double check with my insurance to make sure I’m covered.
I’ve had to interview multiple therapists as well as try a few at the same time because so much of this comes down to fit. Just be careful about booking multiple therapists on same day causes most insurances won’t cover that. And if you continued sessions, they advise you not to have multiple therapists simultaneously because it conflicts with your treatment.
Personally, I don’t find therapy useful. I know exactly what to do- just have trouble executing it. Even therapists have agreed with that
Case in point, mental health issues are not necessarily induced by circumstances. Biochemical imbalances in the brain can often be a likely cause. The subsequent effect can be thoughts, feeling, anxiety etc. I doubt talk therapy will resolve the root cause in such scenarios
Recommendations if you can get some! Anyone you trust at your office to ask (that you also have the sense they see someone)? 5 people at my office, myself included, see the same therapist lol
There are some matching platforms as well you could try, depending on your region (Advekit, Sondermind, Foresight). Your employer may also offer access to Ableto, Lyra, and Ginger (as well as calm/headspace) as part of their benefit offerings
Perhaps look into Zocdoc and go for the weighted average combination of reviews, profile, availability, insurance acceptance, location. I understand the point around cultural identity. Just a thought- maybe try to find a team etc that accepts you rather than morphing yourself into what you’re not. And if you do need to do the latter, small incremental changes over time are better
Unfortunately there is no magic bullet when it comes to finding a therapist. Trial & Error and Baptism by Fire!
Payers typically have member portals that show in-network BH providers
Trial and error
Finding a therapist is tricky business... and in all likelihood, your first won’t be your last. It takes a while to find someone who is ideal for your particular challenges/struggles, whatever they may be. I found someone that was what I needed to get started. Now, with more understanding of my own issues, I asked for a referral to someone who specializes. There are also a number of group therapy options (online), that can get you started if you are open to that.
Start with asking your PCP (or GYNO or dentist - someone you trust). And absolutely ask friends. For me, one name kept popping up. I started with her and it was a match made in heaven.
