Took me a while and trying multiple roles to know what I really want. Though I am glad I got breadth of experiences, I feel I am far behind in the current role compared to where I could be if I had started directly in it. Keep trying new roles and switch fast if you don’t like it. That’s my only advice
The other reason could be you are not enjoying the work. That’s why keep trying things until you find something that you enjoy relatively more if not 100%. It’s hard to strike the balance between money and things you enjoy working on. But there are so many roles with decent pay so I am sure you can land something more enjoyable with good money
Money lol and Deloitte didn’t promote, give a raise, or support my training.
Did you want to do training because you just wanted to learn something, or did you want to do it because you felt like it would make you a more marketable person?
I’ve been struggling with figuring out what the path ahead looks like as well (rising C with 1.5 YOE). Plan A is to apply to my client (FAANG) and plan B is GSAP
Thanks OP, my point is I had no idea what i wanted to do (reason I joined consulting) and so I’d encourage you to assess your current options, if nothing interests you then try something completely new like a different type of project
