I would like to know the interview process of Hitachi Vantara. The first round of Solutions Architect interview happened yesterday. Can someone provide an insight about number of interviews and how many days does it take to complete the entire process? This was specific to services business line. Appreciate your response Cheers! Hitachi Vantara
Hi Team,
I gave and cleared all the rounds for TCS. Post that they asked me to update my documents on their portal, which i did last week.
But till now i am yet to receive the offer letter from their side.
Can someone guide me on this?? Is it normal to take this much of time? Tata Consultancy

I fucked up with where to go to school tbh, complete non-target and lucked my way into this. Found consulting after googling “best jobs for MIS majors"
So did no one deliberately architect his career to go to an M7 then get into consulting at a really young age?
The firm has that flexibility for you to do what they want. You don’t have the flexibility to say you’ll work at home or abroad. That’s not quite the same thing.
Yeah I fell ass-backwards into this, just randomly met people at career fairs who recommended other people that liked me
I kinda did. Went to Ivy with the goal of going into consulting, then saw all of my ultra competitive friends/classmates going into consulting/banking so I told myself I’d avoid it. Then senior year I got an offer in consulting and the non-consulting firms I was recruiting at were pretty disorganized and the pay/flexibility/exits were better so here I am
I had an older classmate I looked up to come back to our high school to give a talk on the university program he chose. It was an undergrad business program I had never heard of / thought about before. His presentation basically sent me on this path.
Once in the program, there were a lot of networking sessions hosted by companies that would come for recruiting and there were 4 main paths: banking, consulting, accounting, or other (marketing etc). That's when I heard about consulting and the rest is history.
I completely agree with both IBM1 and D1.
How is the flexibility better in consulting?
Work from home (or pretty much anywhere in the world) flex travel, ability to switch projects (obviously there are bureaucratic barriers to this but imagine how much harder is to switch between departments in industries), etc.
watched 2 seasons of House of Lies and decided I want to be a consultant #truestory
I wanted to go into the music industry. Then I woke up one day and was here...not complaining.
Went to business school bc I didn’t know what I wanted to do, accepted an internship purely based on the highest $ offer - didn’t have a clue what the role would be based on job description + interview. Turns out it was consulting & I was good at it. The variety/potential for variety is why I stayed
I had no idea what the big 4 was during interviews coming from a computer science undergrad program, I just saw the "80% travel", had never been on an airplane before, and couldn't believe someone would PAY me to travel every week.....if only I'd known
