This is my first time working with a client using the COSO framework. Before elevating my inquiry to my seniors, I would like to confirm my understanding of how this exercise works.
Prior working papers are telling me that client should establish its compliance with the five components of the framework, correct? How rigid should I be in performing this?
To be fair, I was provided with a reading material but it’s a pretty hefty read.
Thanks for any responses!

Girl, I’m halfway through my pregnancy (due in March) and already having focus issues! Commenting so I can see if any other moms have good advice for us
Totally normal. Find projects / people you genuinely enjoy working on/with. It’s the only thing that will keep you sane. I think I was done after 24 weeks
I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling like this! I thought it was too early to feel this way, especially when a manager worked right until 38 weeks in our team
I felt exactly the same, plan your wind down and get support from the junior team members.
Hard same, I had absolutely zero motivation when my 3rd tri hit. See if you can get to the bench, talk to your project leads about handing things off, delegate as much as you can.

Will you start a new project in December or be on the bench until you go on leave? My last month has been spent winding down and KT’ing everything over to someone on my project and initiative teams. Honestly coffee is the only thing that keeps me focused. I stopped drinking it early on because of the caffeine and it made me sick but it’s necessary now to power me through full days. I also started going out to lunch some days after all my morning calls which has helped keep me motivated to not finish at 3 and just be done with everyone. Some days I’ll also schedule a massage at 4 or 5pm to have something to look forward to 😀

Maybe there is an internal role you can pick up if it’s only for a month or so? I can imagine staffing will be tough just for the month of Dec if you are due in January

Prioritize yourself and your health. Take sick days where needed. If you have vacation saved up consider taking it in a few chunks. Now is not the time to try to prove something. Fwiw on my third and final pregnancy I was on the bench around month 7 but then felt compelled to jump onto a project shortly after. In the end i had some health problems and had to deliver early. Obviously it’s hard to say but I’ve always felt the sudden onset of stress at the end contributed.
Wow glad you were able to delivery safely, I am deff there where I want to prioritize my health.
What will you do after maternity leave? Can you work remote or will you have to go back to travel?
I am planning on working remote if I can’t work remote, I will most likely be leaving the firm.
You probably won’t stay focused because you have something so much more important than work constantly on your mind! And it’s ok!! Find projects / people that won’t burn you out
I started to resent the job when it was super busy during my pregnancy because I felt like I didn’t have time to relax and enjoy the time being pregnant Bc work was always hovering over my shoulder. I think I finally took action and got on more chill projects around week 32/33 and it was a game changer. Finally had some time and space to do what you said and mentally prepare for baby
When did you all start telling people at work you are expecting?
