Lol!

I said that I wanted to have the opportunity to “develop myself personally and professionally”
I liked the work but not the hours.

You’re welcome!
Good luck!!

I said I loved my experience in public accounting but I wanted to be a part of a company/team and was ready to be on the other side (aka not pointing out all the issues and only coming to the client with issues) and to help/bring value that can contribute to improvements vs faulting them for doing something wrong

Do not say anything negative and tell them how much you like the opportunity. Also, show your love and respect for your current team at PA. All the best.

I want to be a human again.

I said that the team no longer had growth opportunities and I wanted to be at a place that valued by skills and allows them to use the fully. AKA I was tired of what I was doing and my efforts weren’t being appreciated by my team lol

like

Literally tell them why you are leaving. Don’t give a canned answer

I focused more on why the job I was applying for was exciting to me rather than why I was running from public accounting lol. Demonstrated eagerness for the position without sounding desperate to quit current job.

Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. The worrying/anxiety multiplies when I proceeded further in the interview stages. Now that I signed the offer and is pending background checks, my anxiety is off the roof as it itches closer to my starting date.

If you could legally jump to a higher vaccine priority through money or connections not available to the general public, would you do so?

Assume for purposes of this hypothetical that you have a job and family with a low risk profile, though extended family more at risk. Assume front line health workers and nursing home staff/residents have been vaccinated, but not the elderly or essential workers. Assume you would accelerate your and your family’s vaccinations by three months.

Leaving B4 after a year to purse a careering in banking. I make low 50s in my current role (A2). We haven’t received comp adjustments yet, but I’m assuming we won’t due to COVID. My new role will be paying me 80. It is roughly a 46% raise. I am hoping I do not short change myself in the long run, however it sounds like there is a lot of room for growth (one of the biggest banks in the US). Anyone think I made a mistake not staying until senior? 40+% raise seems rare.
