I switched from audit to analytics consulting, but feel like all I do is make dashboards all day and am looking to return to accounting.

My base now is 120k with 3yoe in audit and 1 in analytics, how much of a pay cut would I be looking at to go to FDD?

Does having a CPA give you a leg up in switching from audit to FDD?

What do you think makes more sense:
a) Stay in audit and get M1 promo this year, and then later try to transfer to FDD at manager level.
b) Move to FDD right now as S3, settle in at more relaxed pace but only hit M1 promo in 2 years.
