Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I read somewhere that grammatically, BIPOC = Black, Indigenous, and (other) people of color. Which is why it’s an all encompassing term for all non-white folks but does specially prioritize B + I.
I use BIPOC now because I do think it’s important to have the distinction but it does still refer to non-white people.

I’m a non-BIPOC POC. My understanding of why the term gets used is because Black and Indigenous people face a greater degree of discrimination.
That's originally what I thought--it was shorthand for Black and Indigenous POC exclusively. But that's not how me or my friends are seeing it used? 🙃
Sorry if this is kinda off topic but how do we feel about people using POC to refer to people that are white passing?
If they experience POC issues (not all of them being racism) I think they count
Are the terms interchangeable for you? Maybe I'm looking too far into this
