Hi Fishes, I am considering a Senior Engineer role with Alteryx (previously Hyper Anna) Sydney. If it's not too much trouble, I was hoping if anyone here could share their experience of working at Alteryx Sydney in terms of Culture, work life balance, politics, work pressure, people, Leadership and product. Thanks.

Do other principals at your firm get away with 9-5? And is that feasible as a newly promoted principal? Health and family are priorities right? Everything else is secondary.. hope this clarifies your thinking
What firm? I think exit opps are materially better at PPMD, mainly because outside companies know the the process is rigorous and look at it as another layer of vetting. One of the same reasons for recruiting from top MBA programs, their graduates have that additional layer of “scrutiny”.
In general SMs exit to Director/Sr Director and maybe VP roles. PPMDs are usually VP+ or even C Suite.

I know I am earlier in my consulting career (exp hire) but I think about this a lot. I really like the job and I find the work to be interesting but it is unhealthy I think (been living 70-80hrs plus weekends past few months) and I wish I'd have more time to spend with my family. Haven't found another job which is as engaging as of yet.
Don’t principals have to buy equity making exits extremely difficult and time consuming?
I've decided to give it my all in the principal process. If I don't get it, I'm quitting on Jan 1 after the bonus hits my account.
If I do get the Principal promotion, I'll be emulating the youth and "quiet quitting" with regards to the late nights and unnecessary stress. I'm in no rush to make partner.
