2nd yr Associate and I find myself constantly stressed. Always thinking about work when at home, remote, when I'm out etc. Worried about not executing or errors in deliverables. How do y'all deal??
Hey Creatives, how you collaborate differently in these remote-working times? Any successes or blockers?
Are people observing details at home that they had never noticed before? With a lot (!) more time spent WFH, the color of paint, the reflection of light, peacefulness of the backyard, ...
Do any fish out there have excoriation disorder (chronic skin-picking)? I acquired this really bad habit while WFH and am starting to fear that I will not be able to kick it before going back on-site. My finger tips are always bleeding to some degree or missing skin lol. Might freak the client out. Would appreciate advice if anyone has kicked this habit.
Help!!! Move to Atlanta or stay in NJ? My extended family in Atlanta and low cost of living but better opportunities and friends in NJ. I am starting a FT remote job and currently a family with 2 kids. Need a desi perspective. All points say move to Atlanta but wife is not convinced.
My skin isn't the best and with WFH - I have been doing the basics : moisturiser and sunscreen everyday which has really helped. Next year, I'm likely to be back full time in the office and on client site - and I want to do the bare minimum makeup wise. Can someone provide me your "bare minimum" routines and also - makeup/skincare brands! :)
I just want to hear the explanation for why staff who started during COVID are doing so badly on average (and I have heard this from every level including staff themselves) from the pro 100 percent work from home people. If you agree it’s real, what is your solution? If it can’t be fixed, are we just accepting that the people we expect to backfill our positions aren’t going to be ready?
Just saw a social media post by a CCCO that makes it sound like he’s suffering through this new WFH routine. Jesus. Get some perspective. And what is so tough about WFH? So old fashioned.
My Apple TV told me the remote battery was low, so it took it to Apple and asked them to change the battery. Oh god, the horror when the guy told me to charge it “like you charge your phone."
Back in the day, I did my own PR, sales & marketing for whatever business idea I was running with at the time. What’s a good remote sales opportunity I can do anywhere in the world that won’t be painful or too high touch? Where I can use my social & business skills (markets, law, cloud, publishing, media, logistics, algos, social media, books, ebooks, design, podcasting, marketing, press release writing, voiceover, journalism) to earn a few extra shillings?
What are peoples experiences and thoughts on requesting to work remote every Fri? It was healthy for me having this in consulting... Seeing if I can ‘secure’ this before accepting a StratOps offer...
Got an offer from EY India with 110% hike on my 6.9 CTC. But location is chennai because it's the client location as well and as per their director's communication with me it will be remote as of now and they can change the location later. Shall I trust them ? And how is work from home policy in EY India especially before pandemic? Shall I switch or stay back?
Anyone know of any part time remote volunteer work one could do? Have some free time to kill, so wanted to see what options I got
Hey I work from home in Montana but am based out of New York office. Just looked at my paycheck and both states are taking out state taxes. Do I really have to pay both. Anybody have experience with this
Couple days from the 1 yr anniversary of the pregnancy loss that destroyed my marriage and my dreams. I live alone, work from home, and have nobody to talk to about this. I'm in the middle of a busy season at work and cant stop crying. I feel like I'm dying inside all over again.
New to this NY freeze - so when does an agency just call it quits and have everyone work from home? Or is this wishful thinking?
Would you accept capping billable hours at 40/week in exchange for being able to work while completely remote?
Have any of your law firms published a new or revised “remote work” policy - specifically what it might look like post Covid? We’ve had a lot of employees (in all peer groups) say they would like some type of flexibility to work at home going forward. We are trying to start a draft with some perimeters and look at all the pluses and minuses.
I don’t belong in my job. I didn’t mind it when I joined in January and was interacting but as we’ve been work from home longer, the less motivation I have. I don’t enjoy the work but I’ve gotten unlucky with my teams too, and can’t remember the last time my manager praised me without a critique. Maybe I’m just bad at my job. At this point I just am doing the bare minimum to not get fired. What do I do? Should I look for a job that I actually would enjoy doing or stick it out?
I'm kind of sick of every small thing becoming a feedback discussion. I don't think my manager is remotely motivating or helpful, especially when the mistakes are theirs as well.
How difficult will it be to switch to the commercial consulting practice of another Big 4 firm coming from Deloitte’s Federal consulting practice?
Any Big4 attorneys have insight into PWCs People In Deals group? Interview coming up and could use the help. TIA!
Neither of my parents have a 401k, investments, or savings. They have nothing. I want to help them retire at 65 which would be about 15 years away. I’m looking to put about $15k/ year until then into an account for them. A couple questions i have though: 1. What type of investment account would be best to maximize? 2. Once gifted to them, will they be taxed if they receive a certain amount? I have little to no knowledge in investing so I’m open to any other ideas and/or advice.
What to prefer an why: 150k plus benefits at EY or 200k plus benefits at Wipro. Both roles are in tech advisory. Same location same role.

Can anyone give me more insights on KPMG audit? I have been in audit for 4 years but looking to make the move to big 4. Just wanna hear thoughts on why KPMG (hours, culture, WLB). I am based in NYC
Currently a first year staff in Risk Advisory in a Mid-Tier Firm hoping to move to Big 4 for either Risk or Cyber. When would be the most appropriate time to make the change? I heard that Senior Staff in mid-tier would most likely be hired as an “Experienced Hire” in Big 4. So would it be smarter to make the move now as a first year staff since I’ll be considered Experienced Hire anyway?

How was Deloitte usi work before pandemic, do they go everyday to office??? And what are your thoughts about Deloitte opening up offices??
In all honesty, I understand people are leaving Big 4 right now because they have decent exit ops or better WLB ops, but what about people working at small/boutique firms making $100-105k as a SC/M? Is it worth it to join a Big 4 if you can potentially get a 20-30% pay increase, i.e. is the increase in salary worth the headache and travel?Deloitte Accenture PwC EY
