How do I explain to my manager that I have no clue what is going on and overall don’t feel like I’m doing a good job? I have raised to him a few times that I don’t feel comfortable in the job and feel like I’m not performing, but he always brushes away and says I’m doing fine. How do I make him pressure test me to check where I stand in case I fail in the future, without potentially being fired in the process? 4 months post-MBA hire if that matters, with another 2 months left on the case.

I am only 4 months into being a surgical coordinator. I love the position itself however I am struggling to adapt into my new work environment. My position puts me in a place where I need to interact with my new coworkers but they are not as welcoming as I expected. There is also another surgical coordinator however I have come to find from other staff that there is a long history of her running other staff away and not fully training other surgical coordinator staff properly. I work at a mid tier firm in an audit group of ~20 people. We’ve recently had two seniors and a manager leave, and I just found out another senior with a ton of big jobs is leaving in three weeks. Had a miscarriage.. it’s my 1st baby and we didn’t find out until 12 weeks (via ultrasound) that the baby passed away at 9 weeks and had to get a dnc. My body is still recovering..
